Finding calm in times of worry

Last night, as I settled into bed, I found myself feeling anxious — my thoughts racing with worries about work, finances, and what the future might hold. It reminded me how easily our minds can spiral when life feels uncertain, and how many of us experience that same restlessness when things weigh heavily on our hearts — whether it’s money, health, family, or change.
When we’re caught in that anxious space, the body and mind go into overdrive. The nervous system stays alert, even when we long to rest. Over the years, I’ve found that reflexology and Reiki can make such a difference at times like this — they help bring the body back into balance and calm the busy mind.
Reflexology helps to release tension, soothing the nervous system through the feet and encouraging the body’s natural ability to find its rhythm again.
Reiki, whether received in person or from a distance, works on a deeper energetic level, gently clearing the heaviness we may be carrying. Clients often describe feeling lighter, clearer, and more peaceful — and I’ve experienced that same sense of calm myself many times.
Once the body softens and the nervous system settles, things begin to feel different. Clarity returns. We see situations more calmly and sometimes even find quiet solutions that weren’t visible before.
If you’re feeling anxious or unsettled right now, please know that you’re not alone — and that gentle, nurturing support is available. These therapies offer a safe, peaceful space to help you come home to yourself and breathe a little easier again.
I share this because I know how it feels to lie awake with worries circling in the mind. Please remember — you are not alone, and there are soft, healing ways to bring comfort and calm back into your world.
